Redclaw crayfish (<i>Cherax quadricarinatus</i>): spatial distribution and dispersal pattern in Java, Indonesia

چکیده
Cherax quadricarinatus is a parastacid crayfish native to parts of north-eastern Australia and southern New Guinea. It relatively large highly fecund species in comparison with other this genus. Since C . was previously assessed as an invasive Indonesia, further monitoring region recommended. Detailed understanding its spatial behaviour can be the basis for research aimed at improved management. Field sampling performed outside range Java, Indonesia from 2019–2020, resulting data useful modelling species' distribution. The occurrence confirmed 66 70 surveyed localities 51 new records Indonesia. Future investigations focused on relationship between distribution dispersal pattern interactions biota entire ecosystems were

Distribution and establishment of the alien Australian redclaw crayfish, Cherax quadricarinatus, in South Africa and Swaziland
BACKGROUND The Australian redclaw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus, von Martens), is native to Australasia, but has been widely translocated around the world due to aquaculture and aquarium trade. Mostly as a result of escape from aquaculture facilities, this species has established extralimital populations in Australia and alien populations in Europe, Asia, Central America and Africa. In South...

Spatial Pattern of Macrobenthos Distribution in Chabahar Bay before Monson
Abstract In the present study, the structure of macrobenthos communities of Chabahar Bay prior to monsoon in 2016 was investigated. We identified 87 species contain 22 amphipods species, 14 species of other crustaceans, 31 species of molluscs, and 20 polychaets species, where amphipods followed by polychates were dominant taxa. The PERMANOVA test revealed that there is a significant difference...
متن کاملSeed Dispersal and Spatial Pattern in Tropical Trees
Theories of tropical tree diversity emphasize dispersal limitation as a potential mechanism for separating species in space and reducing competitive exclusion. We compared the dispersal morphologies, fruit sizes, and spatial distributions of 561 tree species within a fully mapped, 50-hectare plot of primary tropical forest in peninsular Malaysia. We demonstrate here that the extent and scale of...
متن کاملGenetic Variation of Cytochrome b Gene in Three Local Goat Breeds in Central Java of Indonesia
This study was conducted to elucidate the genetic diversity and phylogenic relationship of three local goat breeds in Central Java of Indonesia based on the cytochrome b (cyt b) gene sequence. Blood samples of 19, 15 and 12 heads of Kacang, Kejobong and Ettawa Grade breeds, respectively, were used as materials of the study. The multiple alignment of cyt b gene was conducted by comparing under s...
